Earn cultivation, clear each stage wall before turning in more quests, then assemble the pill, boss key and offerings for Foundation Establishment.
Qi Refining covers levels 1-10 with Early, Middle, Late and Peak stages. Clear each stage wall before turning in more quests, then assemble the first-breakthrough requirements.
Completing quests and defeating NPC enemies both add cultivation experience; use Journey to follow the main story.
More questing will not level you past an uncleared stage wall, and quest XP earned while blocked is wasted.
Select Advance to Middle Stage and press E or click as each ring meets the circle; confirm that the displayed stage changed.
Fill the cultivation bar, buy a Foundation Establishment Pill from Pill Master Yao, and obtain Scarback's Broken Tusk from Old Scarback.
Up to three optional treasure offerings and the selected qi spot affect the foundation preview and the breakthrough stat points shown.
Old Scarback's Broken Tusk is a possible drop; one defeat does not ensure the boss key.
Reaching Foundation Establishment and improving the foundation preview are different outcomes; offerings and qi spot change the preview.
The first cauldron recipes the game displays, including the two-Mountain-Ginseng salve used for the beginner refinement objective.
Lv1 recipe: Mountain Ginseng x2. This is a workable formula for the beginner refine-any-pill objective.
Lv1 recipe: Mountain Ginseng + Spirit Grass. Spirit Grass is gatherable in Mystic Grove.

Lv2 recipe: Wild Ginger + Frost Moss + Mountain Ginseng.
A creator-recommended early boss setup: Heavenly Demon Divine Art, a spirit-scaling fan, about 20 Vitality and the rest in Spirit.
Pair Heavenly Demon Divine Art with a spirit-scaling fan and invest mainly in Spirit, with about 20 Vitality, for boss fights in regions one and two.
Select the art book in Inventory and choose Attune, then open Art and click Heavenly Demon Divine Art to make it active.
The fan's Spirit scaling connects its attacks to the build's main attribute investment.
This is a suggested early allocation for a character that already owns the fan, not an equipment requirement.
Use the reported 30% damage boost, cycle Spirit-scaling moves, and attack with the fan while those moves are unavailable.
Recharge the energy bar when your art moves need to come back online.
Some Heavenly Demon abilities use Strength or Vitality, so the same allocation will not improve every attack equally.
The creator describes large-group clearing as a weaker use of this setup.
Target ordinary western Region 2 monsters for Beast Soul Core, Petty Thieves for trousers, and Old Scarback for the first boss key.
Chance drop from ordinary monsters below level 55 in western Region 2; elites in the area drop Warlord Core or Tyrant Core instead.
Possible drop from Petty Thieves outside the starting town walls in Region 1; a single kill does not guarantee a pair.
Possible drop from Old Scarback and the boss key for the first Foundation Establishment breakthrough.
Find the Warden in Tianhai Cave, check the Old Scarback key drop, and recognize the tentacle-stun and ring-positioning openings.
Progress region-one main quests until the objective says to enter Tianhai Cave, then head north from King Nyan Town toward Mocking Shrine; the cave lies between Nameless Tomb and the waterfall jewel landmark. Press N to check revealed map markers.
Target Old Scarback and check its Index entry for the tusk; a listed drop is possible, not guaranteed, so confirm you received it.
Wait for its tentacle slam, attack the grounded tentacles to stun it, press Y to mount, then follow the prompted buttons.
Stay underneath it around its legs during its area attacks, including the rings, instead of backing away.
Open the Codes panel on the starting screen, enter or select an entry, press Redeem, and read what an already-redeemed or expired result means.
It sits at the bottom of the Martial Arts World starting menu.
Type or paste into the Enter a code box, or click a listed entry to fill it automatically.
Selecting a listed entry does not submit it; press Redeem to claim the reward if the code is accepted.
Already redeemed means the account claimed it before; an expired code stops giving rewards.
Spot the red vertical feature, watch for the hourly spawn cue, meditate for early cultivation and compare the foundation preview before breaking through.
A wild Void platform appears as a red feature projecting upward into the air.
Wild Void platforms are reported to spawn every hour; an appearance notification and a darker screen can accompany one.
Sit on the platform and meditate to raise your cultivation rank early.
With the breakthrough key in hand, sit in a qi spot and compare its foundation preview alongside your offerings.
