Martial Arts World martial arts guide: Learn and switch arts

To learn an art book you already have in Martial Arts World, select it in your inventory and use Attune. Once learned, the art and its skills appear under Art on the left side of the screen.

How to learn an art book

1. Open your inventory and select the art book you want to learn.
2. Scroll down in the book's panel until you reach Attune, then click it.
3. The book disappears from your inventory. Open Art on the left to find the learned art and its skills.

The disappearing book is part of learning it: check the Art menu to confirm the result.

How to switch learned arts

With two arts learned, open Art and click an occupied art slot to switch to that learned art.

Forget removes an art and frees its slot, but you lose that art book. Use it only when you intend to give up the art; switching between your learned arts uses the occupied slots.

Martial arts to recognize

Names to recognize include 64 Hexagram, Heavenly Demon Divine Art, Nine Heavens Sky Gangwind Fan, and Heavenly Plum Blossom. Their useful distinctions include:

• Heavenly Demon Divine Art, also called Heavenly Demon Art, is obtained by joining the Heavenly Demon Cult. Many of its abilities scale with Spirit, while some also involve Strength or Vitality. With this art in use, press X to activate its 30% damage boost.
• Nine Heavens Sky Gangwind Fan is a fan art focused on block break.
• Heavenly Plum Blossom is a sword-in-hand art with Agility scaling.

Match stats to individual moves

Art books provide combat abilities, but their damage scaling varies between books and can also vary between moves within one book. When choosing where to invest stats, check the scaling of the individual abilities you plan to use.

Heavenly Demon Divine Art illustrates why this matters: Spirit contributes to many of its abilities, but Strength and Vitality also appear in its kit. Treat each move's scaling separately when planning your build.
