Martial Arts World Sects: Choices, Benefits and First Art

Explore Martial Arts World sects, understand membership manuals and passives, and learn how to equip your first art and understand sect contribution activities.

Mount Hua Sect and Heavenly Demon Cult are two factions you can consider in Martial Arts World. Joining a sect grants its base manual and sect-dependent passive effects. Once you receive your first art, use Attune in your inventory to equip it.

Sect joining becomes available from level 12 onwards. Treat that as the general starting threshold: each faction still has recruitment requirements to complete before you become a member.

Membership gives you:

  • Your sect’s base manual. Heavenly Demon Art is one example of a manual received through membership; the manual you receive depends on the sect you join.
  • Sect-dependent passive effects. Consider their tradeoffs alongside the manual. One example gives +8% damage and +6% fame gains, with −10 maximum health. That combination trades some health for damage and fame gains; those values belong to that particular example and do not apply to every sect.

When your first art is in your inventory, equip it with these steps:

  1. Open your inventory.
  2. Select the art you received.
  3. Click Attune to equip the selected art.

Attune is the equip action, so receiving the manual and equipping the art are separate steps.

Sect membership also gives you contribution activities to work on:

  • Sect tasks: Daily activities that increase contribution points. You can undertake them while still in region one.
  • Sect wars: Another contribution opportunity after reaching region two. They run every six hours, with approximately 30–50 contribution points per run, depending on the points you earn during that run.
